Silvecorn
A young lady over
the next hill stands in a flowing pink silk dress, stroking
and brushing an eager young unicorn. No, it's not quite a
unicorn because it also has wings. Hmm...does that make it an
alicorn? Oh well, unicorn was simpler and less confusing.
Evok tells you that she is known by everyone as simply Lady.
"Lady?" you ask, skeptical.
Evok shrugs. "She doesn't have a name since she was abandoned when she was only a baby. She's probably a daughter of one of those medieval lords who think girls are no good. But anyway, since then, her life's been like a tragic fairy tale, and it's become quite famous. Check in the library if you want to read it."
"Anyway,
Anicyn was visiting the Silver Unicorn one day, when Silvanon
mentioned that there were rumors going around that said there
were unicorn eggs to be found. Since Anicyn had nothing else
better to do, she decided to search for them, even though she
wasn't particularly interested in unicorns. It only took half
an hour before she found them!
She was allowed to
bring only one back here to the Land of Kae.
Since Anicyn is a dragonrider and isn't particularly all that
interested in equastrian things like me and Lady are, she
gave Lady the egg as a birthday present. Lady spends a whole
lot of her time on it, from the minute she got Silvecorn's
egg to the day he hatched and started growing. It's like she
and Silvecorn are practically married or something, which in
a sense, they are."
"Well," you say, moved by her devotion. "We should leave her to it, then."
Just before you leave the forest, you notice a plaque tacked onto a nearby tree.
